Annual Payroll Report – Getting Started

It takes approximately 15 minutes to submit your APR online. Before you begin, please make sure you have the following information:

  1. A general description of your operations in the Northwest Territories and/or Nunavut for your company or the company you represent;
  2. The actual payroll from last calendar year for your company or the company you represent, including:
       o Total gross earnings of all workers (this includes casual labour);
       o Non-assessable total gross earnings; and
       o Earnings for contractors you’re covering;

    Please note: When determining assessable payroll for workers whose total earnings are equal to or greater than the Yearly Maximum Insurable Remuneration (YMIR), cap the workers’ assessable payroll at YMIR for that assessment year. You can also find this instruction in the Guide to Completing Annual Payroll Reporting.
